Understanding the Basics: What Does "Water Break" Mean?

membrane that surrounds your baby during pregnancy. Your bag of water is made up of 2 membranes.

your body is getting ready for labor, and it can occur as a sudden gush or a slow trickle.
Signs Your Water Has Broken
Sudden Gush of Fluid: This is the most dramatic sign, often depicted in movies, books and articles. Often
feeling like you peed on yourself.
Trickle of Fluid: Sometimes, the amniotic sac leaks more slowly.
Change in Discharge: You might notice a change in your usual discharge, becoming more watery.
